# Projects: Creating Heatmaps

### Creating a new Heatmap

After creating a new project, the project will be empty and it will not have any heatmaps.

To create a new heatmap got your project, click on "**Create Heatmaps**" button.

When you create a heatmap, a new window view will open. This view has two different sections. The first section is about **keywords** and the second one is about the **grid settings**.

### Grid Specifications

If you have created grid templates, you can use "**Import grid template**" button to import your grid specification settings.

In our example will will load a previously-created grid template. When you click on "**Import grid template**" a pop-up window will open with all grid templates. Select the desired grid template and click on "**Import Grid Template**" button to fetch grid settings.

All grid settings from the template will be loaded.

### Keywords

On keywords field you type your keywords for your generated heatmaps. You can enter multiple keywords using **Enter** or **comma** (,).

As with grid templates, you can use **GBP keyword buckets** to import keywords.

Click on "**Import keywords from bucket**" button. A new window will open that will let you select folder and a bucket.

When you select the bucket, all keywords lists inside that bucket will show. Select a **keyword list** to import keywords from. When you click on each keyword list, it will expand to show you all included keywords in the list. Select the list and click "**Import Keyword List**" button.

After that all keywords from list are imported inside the keywords field.

When you are finished, click on "**Run Heatmap**" button to run the first heatmap for this project. A pop-up message will show informing you about the keywords and the number of credits that will be spent for this heatmap.

After clicking "**Run Heatmaps**" button, SEO Neo will start the process to fetch and process all information for the heatmap.
